The fabulous Es Vergeret at Cala Tuent

An hours sail North of Soller brings us to Cala Tuent. A fantastic backdrop in this the only 'sandy' beach on this stretch of coastline. A short 10 minute walk through the cool pinewoods takes you to Es Vergeret, a lovely restaurant with a large, shady terrace. Fish is excellent here! After lunch a swim in the crystal clear waters and some caves on the way back is a truly lovely trip out. You will need an afternoon or full day trip to complete this little excursion. Leaving at either 10:00 or 12:00 to have plenty of time!

An evening sail to Cala Deia for supper

Well known for fabulous fish dishes this restaurant is often frequented by the local celebrities. We normally leave port at about 18:30 arriving for a swim in the bay then supper. We sail back through the sunset and usually arrive back in port in the dark at 22:00 ish. All flexible of course as the sunset times change and also the boats are out during the afternoon.

A very lovely experience for sure.

We recommend that you make a reservation for the restaurant prior to your trip; the lunches are fabulous and this location was used extensively in the filming of The Night Manager

Sa Foradada

Magical Mallorquin coastline

Going for lunch at Sa Foradada is a must while staying in the area. Emilio and his family have run the restaurant now for over 40 years, serving fresh uncomplicated Mallorquin fare in the most magical of settings imaginable. Although it is possible to walk down from the road, it is a 45 minute walk down and in the summer heat and after lunch an arduous climb to return, therefore the locals and most people come by boat. It takes about an hour to arrive from Port Soller in the amazing bay and drop anchor to either swim or tender ashore, I wait on the boat while you have lunch. The restaurant has many 'A' listers visiting and of course Royalty from all over Europe.

The Paella is probably the most taken food with Mixtra, Marisco and a vegetarian option available, price is in the region of 16 Euro ( min 2 pax ). They do not have mains electric, only a generator for the fridges etc, so cook on an open fire, the subtle aroma of smoke permeating the rice beautifully.

On the way if the sea is flat I can take you for a swim into a fabulous cave which is well hidden and not know other than a lucky few !!

We normally leave at 12:00 after meeting at the big blue triangle in the port which is opposite the Hotel Miramar where the tram stops.

The trip will probably be the high point of your vacation (bring your swimmies/snorkelling/camera, etc.)

Cabrera

A beautiful island

Come for an overnighter in the sheltered island of Cabrera, stunningly beautiful and peaceful, 30 miles from Palma but just 7miles offshore from Colonia St Jordi. A permit is required to visit this fantastic location ( cost approx 10 euro ) and needs to be booked no earlier than 20 days before arrival, it has limited moorings available.

To sail from Soller we will need to plan one full day to get there and one full day to get back, a night out in Palma is always a great idea, stopping in the marina, or even at anchor in the bay. We can of course have the boat waiting for you in Palma but a charge is made to deliver the boat.

Port Valldemossa

A special, relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere

We started visiting Port Valledemosa regularly this year, another fabulous restaurant, The Port, A little further south from Sa Foradada is a small family restaurant, very Spanish, we anchor and go ashore in the tender, great reviews from clients so if not been before a 'must'. Passing Michael Douglas' house en route!
